Here's one of my shots of the moon. This was Saturday night, a day early. #1533645

This is beautiful, Jeff. Amazing details and such a gorgeous blue in the sky, and I do love the trees in the foreground. #10744285

Sweet! Wish I had a good enough lens for shots like this, but I think I need to fill my piggy bank first! :-) #10744926

Very nice. Just asking, was this one shot or a composite? I love the blue of the sky against the moon.

I had a hard time getting the exposure right to see everything I wanted-the moon was extremely bright.

LOVE the blog pics too-very cool to see the silhouettes of those trees against the moon. #10746369

Thanks, Elaine! This is a single image. My method was to expose for the moon, and then I used exposure compensation to come down 2/3 of a stop. It took a little adjusting in post, but came out pretty well. #10746373
