Stop and smell the Flowers

Uploaded: June 10, 2013

Description

Here's the story behind this photo. One week ago I was crossing a power line right of way on my way to go fly fishing. I noticed the whole area was covered with multicolored wild flowers. On my way to the river I made up my mind to come back the next morning to photograph them. Well that wasn't to be. The next morning it rained all day....hard, and the next and the next and etc. Today when I woke up it was overcast but not yet raining (it is now though). I headed out and when I got there I was disappointed to find the rain had knocked most of the flowers off. I decided to make the most of it and began photographing what was left. I had this weird feeling I was being watched so I turned around to look and saw this doe turning to leave. She stopped and looked back just long enough for me to get this photo.
