I love reflections and would also like to get a close up of those Aspens. With reflections such as this, the center weighted comp works well. I like it.

For a different look and one that keeps the eye from bouncing back and forth, have you tried applying a horizontal motion blur of about 10 pixels to the water area? #1530370

No suggestions on this one I think it looks great as shown. I like the minimalist look - very simple yet effective.

I already see motion in the water so am curious to see what Dale's suggestion would do for the shot. #10716165

Thanks, everyone! Mike and Dale, you'll get an opportunity with these trees next week. . .

Here's a shot of just the aspens. #10716236

Very nice-I like how you make these barren trees seem beautiful against the sparse bits of green next to them. Love the reflection. #10716684

Both shots are exceptional Jeff. wouldn't change a thing except hang them on the wall. Aspen is going into my favorites #10717793

These are both great!! I cannot wait to see this in person! #10717961

I love the composition, reflections and colors in these images, Jeff. The reflections are strong with more contrast so I see Dale's point about a 10-pixel blur to curb the urge to compare the top and bottom and miss the spectacular whole of it. Very well-done, Jeff. #10718165

Beautiful shots, Jeff. Sometimes I flip reflection shots upside down for fun. Might work in the 2nd shot. #10719881

You could also crop the vertical version, either half or each half, with or without the green, and have beautiful abstracts. #10719978

nicely done Jeff! #10720422
