Description

As detailed as the eye can see, and then even closer, exists another realm - the macro world. For a photographer, macro is extremely close up and more difficult to explore than our human-scale world. It is infinitely rich in texture, pattern, and design, a world the photographer must intentionally peer into to discover its wonders.

The iridescent shimmer is wondrous and shifts with how the shell is held and viewed. The pearlescent beauty of this paua shell is impossible to resist with its rays of pink glitter invading the artist’s pallet of rich blues and greens.

Like a fingerprint, each paua shell looks unique.
