Thank you, Josie. This image is getting allot of attention locally as we seldom have snow atop this 4000' mountain in Northern California.

Dear Photo Friend: I feel that something has changed at Better Photo but cannot tell you just what has happened. I have been here since 2003 and most every month I have written to all the winners telling them how their work touches me. I have witnessed photographs that bring tears to my eyes and colors that are unbelievable, now I am worried that like all good things that it will not be here the next time I look.
But the feeling of not being able to congratulate all the winners for the hard work, and sharing their talent with all of us makes me so sad.
However it turns out and even if this is the last time I have this privilege, to let you know how exceptional your work has been, please know that I will never forget.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of you for the month of March, 2013, I send my very best to you always, Merna Nobile

Would someone tell me what is going on at BP? I've noticed I'm hardly getting any "Editor's Picks" and it looks like others are experiencing the same thing. I know there's been a push for folks to take classes... perhaps there's financial issues and they cut back on staff; i.e., they select less EP's toward identifying a winner as it takes lots of time to review the contenders. BP needs to issue a communication to their members as there seems to be negative, not positive change occurring. #10646977

I sent a note to BP and they say there has been no change to the judging process, despite notes from everyone and complaints in the blogs. Reading Merna's message above, it sounds like she has received word that she will be unable to comment on other's work in the future... not sure what she heard that makes her think there is a problem. Anyway, Merna I know you comment on others work -- and I know folks appreciate your taking time to congratulate and support their efforts. #10648506
