He Loves Me, He...
Uploaded: June 29, 2003
I watched my daughter pulling petals. This gave me the idea of running the stem through blue paper, having her hold it from under the paper, then shot it from the top using my Nikon 5400 macro setting. Taken in the shade early last evening.

Very creative Lori and a great image....... #42869Lori Ditlefsen May 26, 2019
Thank you very much Shirley. I've had my camera for less than a week now, and I love the macro setting. It's the first time I've ever been able to get clear detailed close ups. #128862Brinn MacDougall May 26, 2019

Thank you very much Brinn! I had taken shots of the daisies by themselves earlier, but they seemed to be missing something. This set it off nicely with an added fun twist. :) #128919Nancy L. Ferrell May 26, 2019

Very creative and well done, Lori! I love the strong graphics of your design and those wonderful bold colors. This should do well in the contest. #129109Charlene Bayerle May 26, 2019

Thanks Charlene, I appreciate your comments. I wish I could see this picture the way others see it. My monitor is set up so that I see what my printer prints. I'll have to go look at this on another monitor. :) #129203Colette M. Metcalf May 26, 2019

Very nice! It's nice to see something totally different around here! Very creative idea. I don't think I ever would've thought to put the stem through the paper, but then I'm slow like that...Lori Ditlefsen May 26, 2019
Hi Piper, The idea of using paper to begin with came from Murry Grigsby. He had put paper behind one of his flower shots. Since I was getting alot of clutter behind my flower shots, I decided to try it. I've learned lots of new tricks since being here. I'm a baby at photography so I could use all the help I could get. Now it's just a matter of using the things I've learned to better my shots. Thanks for commenting on my work. I really did not expect this kind of response but I'm so glad everyone likes it. :) #129761Timothy L. Leggett May 26, 2019
