Very nice, Dale! Good call on waiting for the pedestrian. The illusion of the bricks going downhill to the right is messing with my head a bit. #1510952

Dale Hardin January 24, 2013

Yeah, me too, but didn't have lot of choice for the POV in order to get most of the mural. Even here, I had to clone out some large pipes. #10535559

Beautifully captured, like your street art images! #10536159

Jeff E Jensen January 25, 2013

Dale - what about a bit of a rotation to level the bricks? I don't know how much space you have available, so you might lose a bit of the edges. Something like this? #10536277

Dale Hardin January 25, 2013

Thank you Liz. Have tons more on my blog and will be posting more today. #10536488

Dale Hardin January 25, 2013

I see what you mean Jeff. I lost a bit at the top, but took a different approach and eliminated the slant all together. How's this? #10536490

Jeff E Jensen January 25, 2013

Looks much better, but could probably go a tad more (I may be wrong). I know the temptation would be to level it based on the sidewalk edge, but if you look closely at the bricks, you can see that the courses of bricks disappear into the sidewalk. You could also use the vertical lines of the bricks as a reference. #10536505

Dale Hardin January 25, 2013

Yes, it's still a tad off but I'm going to let it go. The vertical reference on the left edge looks good and the POV is at an angle, so I'm satisfied. Thanks for pointing that out. I liked the image so much I overlooked how slanted the bricks looked. #10536512

Jeff E Jensen January 25, 2013

Yup, I think the change was enough to address the issue, but allowed you to keep the shadow. Good stuff. #10536515

this is a very cool shot. I love street art and when you get someone walking in front of it...makes it even better. Your last post is definitely the best. But I see you jump the gun again and got an EP on the original post...congrat's #10538312

Sorry for the late post, but the edit looks great. I was also getting thrown off by those bricks in the first post. I never would have thought to include a pedestrian with the art. I like it! #10540393

Dale Hardin January 27, 2013

Thank you Elaine. Now you can see why I love the Phellos. Now if I could just learn to get their advice before posting in the contest. :>) #10540394

Robert, it sure was and if we could just get some of those girls from the Carnevale or Simi valley to model we could do it again. #10584491
