While at the beach with my huband I wanted nothing more than 1 pretty shot to remember the trip by. Since he isn't into photography I limited my camera carrying/shuttering around. Well this evening I decided to take my D700 down to the water and see if I could play with slow shutter speeds and the waves. By the time we got down there it was way to dark for that sort of thing, but I turned around and there was this glowing roller coaster off the boardwalk. Didn't trust myself to change my 105mm lens on the beach in the dim light so we got as close as we dare trust the surf so I could fit it all in the frame. My husband held my broken tripod level while I gave it my all. Ended up with a ton of black beach on the bottom of the shot. I started solving that with a pano crop, but then the idea hit me to create a reflection to fill the rest of the frame. Looking to have this printed and framed soon to hang in our dinning room! :~)

Thank you Gloria...wish the reflection was real. Would have been a pretty view, but I'd be lying if I said it were so. I created it in CS5. :~)

D600? O jeeze I'm so far behind in technology I haven't even read anything about it. But alas I'm a mother of 3 young boys and on a budget so the D700 will have to get me thru the next ____ years. #10330971
