Pennsylvania's Newest Lighthouse

Description

Lighthouses are almost always associated with large bodies of water, but Pennsylvania's new light is more than sixty miles from Lake Erie The Sherman Memorial light, named in honor of local resident Jack Sherman who designed and built the light, is located on an island in the Allegheny River in Tionesta, Pennsylvania. This six story light, built of timber instead of concrete, serves as a tribute to Sherman's family and their legacy.
