I found this interesting small jellyfish(?) washed up on the sand of Urangan Beach, in Hervey Bay, Queensland... Captured very late afternoon, in mid-winter, on the 26th of July 2012...

It looks like someone else has been at the beach. And you certainly have added some gorgeous beach images to your gallery. Now this is one interesting find. I love how the sun glows off it and it has that transparent look. What ever it is, its beautiful. Love the texture of the sand, the shadow with the rays on it. Fascinating. I had to "FAV" it so I could look at this again and again. I thought at first it was a snail of sorts because of the shape but how could it be? Who has ever heard of a clear slug? Then I thought glass. THEN I read the description. WOW! And NOW I am wondering if it was beached or still under water.It's mystifying to view!
Carolyn I read that a fantastic image is one that holds the viewers eyes and interest.
You got it here and I hope the judges stop and take a large notice to the originality of this capture.
