Hi again Sue. Now this image doesn't work well for me. The pose seems rather awkward and over-emphasises the model's somewhat heavy thighs and makes her lower body look out of proportion to her top half. I would also suggest that it might be better that she not be seemingly staring at the left edge of the image which given that we all tend to look from left to right just as we read a book then our eye would stop at her bent elbow and the highlight on the sheet. Now that would be fine for this being a boudoir image but then what do we do with all the subdued lit left arm and sheet and ll that space on the right? If you agree Sue, it might be worth doing a flip so that our eyes come in on the darker side which will be on the left and travel across to the brightly lit figure. I also feel that there is too much negative space above her head so some cropping might help there.
Hope you will take this in the spirit in which it is offered Sue and knowing the laughs we have had on our Phello Photog club site I am pretty certain you will :0)

Alway Peter I am looking for better suggestions. I am going to try the flip. I want the open space for a magazine cover though for Words.:) I don't get offended for suggestions. #10092437

Good morning Sue. I tried the flip and I think it does make for a better image if it were just a stand-alone shot but now that you have mentioned the magazine cover I do understand that this presents a different problem. You need that top space for the masthead(title), issue date and then there's all those considerations of design and type face sizesn colors and positioning for the main coverline and secondary coverlines, barcode etc etc. Plenty of opportunities for multi PS layers to go behind the model, over the model etc and this is why I would drive myself crazy if I had to design a cover! Although, having said that, there are dozens of templates and tutorials available online that can be found with a quick search on Google of 'magazine cover design'.
Good luck with this Sue.
