OMG those shoes on that wooden walkway - looks like an invitation for a disaster.

Love the bright red against the grayed wood. I think this one fits the challenge well. #1447401

Sue, this is wonderful. What a great take on the challenge. Love the fact that everyone is beginning to think outside the box.

Critique wise, have only one suggestion. It would have been nice to have just a bit more DOF so that the left foot was in focus also.

But that's a minor thing and doesn't take away from this fine image. #10022145

"OMG" indeed as Mike said, but for a different reason. Sue, the image and title has now got me singing that Nancy Sinatra song from 45 years ago One of the stanzas goes like this:

"You keep lying, when you oughta be truthin'
and you keep losin' when you oughta not bet.
You keep samin' when you oughta be changin'.
Now what's right is right, but you ain't been right yet.

These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you."

Interesting shot Sue...like Aimee, I'm wondering if this is someone you know or a candid...I haven't done this in a while, and I know some people in the club like this effect and others don't care for it, but I think it work well as a selective color image, leaving the shoes and pants or just the shoes colored while making the rest of the image B+W. #10023913

Thanks everyone, first off Peter, that song has now been stuck in my head everytime I open this image :-) I'm not sure the boots Nancy wore were this dangerous though lol. Aimee, yes this is the talented young lady in the B&W shot dancing you all saw earlier, she is amazing. I will be photographing one of her dance performances in April so you will see more of her. Tony I did a couple of SC one with just shoes and one with pants and shoes. I'm with Michael on SC very neutral so you tell me if it works :) I don't do this much so hope I lived up to you vision of it. I kind of like the green grass and texture of the wood. Someplace you wouldn't really think these shoes would be. This was a planed shoot, this walk way goes for miles out in swampy marsh lands. #10029653
