Uploaded: December 09, 2011
The French Quarter is the heart of New Orleans and has a unique vitality and culture. Its combination of architecture and unusual characters is truly magical. This is a composite of 14 images that took three days to assemble.

Awesome work, Steve. I like both versions, and originally thought I liked the BW best But I also think New Orleans DEFINES color in many ways, and the color version is also beautiful. Mabe color for a magazine and b&w for a wall hanging. #9856913Steve M. Harrington December 10, 2011
Thanks very much, Michelle! The response generally has been more positive towards the B&W and I have been trying to figure out why. I would appreciate any further thoughts anyone may have.Kathleen K. Parker December 13, 2011
