Lone Surfer #2

The Making of 'Lone Surfer #2':

Made with my first 'proper' camera back in my early days of digital photography.

The eighteenth in a series of nineteen waterscape photographs chosen by the developers of Coast Apartments in my home town of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia. The large black and white prints grace the walls of the foyers, gymnasium and lift on permanent display in the luxury complex.

The series gives the viewer a journey from the Hastings River, that runs through the town and down the coast to The Gap at Diamond Head Beach in the Crowdy Bay National Park.

A lone surfer does his thing in the face of a stiff off shore wind, racing the sea mares to the beach.

This salty surfing photograph was made from half way along the breakwater at North Haven Beach, North Haven, Mid-north Coast, NSW,Australia, about a half hour drive from my home town of Port Macquarie.
