Storm Clouds Brewing

Uploaded: November 28, 2011

Description

Hallet Peak from Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. A mid-October snow storm rapidly descended from the peaks into the valley and covered everything in a blanket of white quickly, including me. Though never at risk, it was fascinating to watch a storm descend so fast. It was a reality check on the potential dangers that can occur in the mountains this time of year.

Exif: F Number: 16, Exposure Bias Value: -1.67, ExposureTime: 10/2500 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 320, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 35.00 mm, Model: NIKON D700
