Lesson 1 Photo 5

Uploaded: November 15, 2011

Description

This subject is someone I do know. She is very theatrical and musically trained. The eye makeup is a must for her...however I believe her eyesight is not quite what it used to be and I "fixed" the eye liner where it went askew. Her right eye was squinted so I used "liquify" to open it up and "cloned" the flash from her left eye to match. The sun was completely out of sight behind mountains and trees, my husband was holding a large white foam board as a reflector

Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/160 seconds, Flash: fired, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 109.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II

Laura,

You captured your friend's (kind?) personality and warmth. A lovely portrait.

So, "liquify" to open it up? I have to try that. Great work.

Great portrait photography Laura.

Thanks for explaining your technique. Using a white board for shadowless light worked perfectly for this shot.

Your skillfull use of editing tools is so perfect that no one would guess what you had done. #9845818
