The fourth in a series of nineteen waterscape photographs chosen by the developers of Coast Apartments in my home town of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia. The large black and white prints grace the walls of the foyers, gymnasium and lift on permanent display in the luxury complex.
The series gives the viewer a journey from the Hastings River, that runs through the town and down the coast to The Gap at Diamond Head Beach in the Crowdy Bay National Park

This sunset silhouette was photographed from the Town Green, looking toward the Lady Nelson Wharf on the south bank of the Hastings River in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia, at the start of a lovely autumn evening.

The float plane is the 'Akuna' and since this photograph was taken both the plane and the pilot have been changed. However, the bright yellow 'Akuna' and the friendly, chatty young pilot who flew her are warmly remembered.

Enjoy! #1418039

another awesome image from this series. The silhouettes, plane, people, pier are powerful and make my imagination work overtime. Well done and congratulations.

Hello *Wendy*!

Thank you for your visit and your interest. I wonder what your thoughts are about the photograph?

This series was commissioned by a client, (read narrative above), who wanted them printed large and with a substantial border around them for the type of mounting, matting and framing they had in mind. As there was not going to be anything added to the framed prints displaying the title or my name I simply added them as you see on this photograph. All this work was done in Photoshop. The border by using the Canvas Size functioon and the text by using the Text function.
