Wonderful clarity and great colour--and amusing, too. Excellent work. -Gerda #2636

Outstanding work!

I'm most impressed with the clarity and sharpness.

I'm also impressed with the whiteness of the Egret.

I'm interested in knowing the settings, including over/underexposure values.

Cheers,

Wonderful shot, so sharp and well composed. A number of years ago I was fortunate enough to spot one of these striking birds near my home in southern New Brunswick, eastern Canada--he must have been very lost. #4216

Thanks guy's. Glenn, this images was many years ago with Kodachrome 25 slide film and a canon F1N and a Canon 300MM f2.8L lens. I just recently copied the slide with my digital camera in macro mode on a light table. This method is Quite good for web use. I couldn't even begin to remember the exposure settings for this image of nearly 25 years. However I did most of my shootin wide open(f 2,8) and unually underexposed by 1/2 to 1 stop. This image looks to be about 2-3 stops under that of fully sun exposure. Thanks JMW #4217

Very nice selective focus, J. Michael! I had no idea igrets had such fluorescent feet! The eyes and feet match and give a hint of color to an otherwise two-toned pic. You've got great blur in the background--just enough for us to know what's going on back there without crowding the subject. My favorite part about this photo has to be the feathers blowing in the wind. Beautiful. Only thing I would change is the placement of the bird in the frame. Looks to be a little too far left. Nice shot. #4229
