The f-stop was 4 with a 35 expanded angle lens. I shot from side stage. I used aperture priority, continuous focus and no flash (due to this being a live performance) (burning a lot of film with a speed drive, of course)in order to freeze only the immediate area of focus when the stage lights, dancers and my lens were in sync. The effect, of course, is that in the right moment you freeze just enough to please the eye, while leaving "a living blur" as I will call it. You can see two more pics from this shoot further down the pages, here: The dancers bowing was at f-8, I believe, and the close up face was f-4 (with a 50 lens).
