Today Phil and I found this sheltered spot overlooking Lake Macquarie at Rathmines, NSW...on a clear, but rather blustery and cold, winter's day! The stretch of water in view here was part of the landing area for the Catalina Flying Boats based at the Rathmines RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Base during the Second World War...
Captured early afternoon, in mid-winter, on the 5th of July 2011...
