Description

The mobility and accessibility of communication and information in the digital age is quite apparent in this cafe candid photograph.

This caffeinated shot was made inside the Crema Espresso Bar, the greatest coffeehouse in my home town of Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia on a miserable winter morning.

Canon EOS 40D & Canon 28-135mm IS USM Lens: RAW, Manual settings of f/5.6 @ 1/125sec, 112mm, ISO 400, Hand held.
Lightroom 2.2 & Photoshop CS3

THE MAKING of 'An Apple a Day':

Although the weather was foul this Wednesday my Port Macquarie Panthers Camera Club friends and I we undaunted in gathering for our weekly dose of coffee and chat.

Because of the wind and rain we tookover the large table indoors and this meant switching over to my shorter lens in the hope of bagging a shot or two.

There was very little on offer unfortunately but as luck would have it I kept an eye on this woman continually beavering away at her Apple laptop.

The natural Rembrandt lighting was superb so I kept my camera at the ready set up for such an exposure and as soon as she placed her hand against her cheek I had the chance for just one shot.

This type of photography is very rare for me so making this shot was such a special moment.
