Venice Canals

Uploaded: June 08, 2011

Description

Venice Canals were built in 1905 by Albert Kinney for his vision of 'Venice in America' and completed in time for the grand opening of Venice, CA on July 4, 1905. As cars replaced the horse and buggy though, the majority of the canals were converted to roads.

How beautiful, Courtenay! I've never heard of "Venice in America" but I can understand the canals being replaced by cars, it wasn't the most insightful idea but how beautiful it could have been by the looks of this scene. #1383591
