Getting Er Done
Uploaded: May 24, 2011
Our weather has not been not co-operating to say the very least. Rain and then soil temperatures.
We finally did start to plant May 19 and as my husband reminded me last year we started May 11. Then our planter which we thought was ready to go had a few more kinks to get out of it’s system. After losing precious hours we started again.
In this photo our nephew, Nick is in his tractor with the vibra-chisel/soil saver working the ground then the tractor with the planter will follow.
God love my husband he reminded me yesterday that we had finished planted last year at this time. We know we can, we know we can.

Thank you Jeana.Denny E. Barnes May 24, 2011
Very beautiful farm image, Roxanne! And like Jeana, the clouds are outstanding!! We have been so wet here we still can't work the ground. Strawberry planting will just have to wait. Looks like we might be picking and planting at the same time..LOL.. #9425833Hendrik Storme May 24, 2011

Beautiful country scene, Roxanne. Great sky and good luck with the planting. #9425982Courtenay Vanderbilt May 24, 2011
This is just gorgeous, Roxanne! My hat's off to farmers...you make the world go 'round! Good luck with this planting season. It's already gotten dry here in Atlanta! #9426243Ron McEwan May 24, 2011
I felt right at home reading your narrative Roxanne. We are shut out of the fields right now here in MO. Worked cattle yesterday. Ranching is good when there is rain. But again to much nobody will have the grain to feed cattle. It's a pull and tug all the way anymore. #9426429Tiia Vissak May 25, 2011
a wonderful scene! #9427674Tammy Espino May 28, 2011

I know the rains slowed you down but I bet the soil is fertile and ready for crops. We know you will. We know you will. #9435630Erika G. Gossett June 01, 2011
