Paul and Mary - thank you both so much for your kind comments on this iconic piece of Newcastle architecture!! :o)

Paul - you're right, 2003 DOES seem "like a lifetime away", now...well, it's over 8 years since I took this image!! ;o)

Mary - Fort Scratchley really is worth seeing when visiting Newcastle!! It's lead a rather chequered history!! ;o)

I'll (hopefully!) post some info. on both the Pavilion and on Fort Scratchley!! Newcastle has a lot of history!! :o) #9392802

I see badminton or vollyball play on the beach, Carolyn!!! During my childhood...I use to play badminton. The neighborhood kids would hit the 'birdie' as hard and high as possible...it usually landed on a neighboring roof. Game was over when the 'birdies' were 'gone'!(LOL)<:))

Beautiful capture of this historic fort and the surrounding landscape, My Friend!!<:))

This shot details such a huge expanse with light colours leading into darker tones. The eye travels well through this vista. Love it! #9393280

A delightful wide vista of Nobbys beach and surrounds Carolyn! That sky looks a bit menacing though! #9393581

Seems to be hard to get a shot anywhere these days without the "menacing sky". Great POV to show one of Newcastle's assets. Very well taken. #9395121
