Black Capped Chickadee

Uploaded: May 03, 2011

Description

A family of Black Capped Chickadees has taken up residence in a decorative birdhouse I have sitting on a table on my patio. According to my research this appears to me to be a relatively odd occurrence. While they will nest in blue bird boxes they prefer hollowed out trees or old woodpecker nests. This is neither! Seems they have chosen the penthouse though!
