Iris Study

Uploaded: April 22, 2011

Description

The threat of foul weather (which never materialized) cancelled our planned photo shoot the other day and drove me inside to my light tent. Fearing they would be damaged in the storm (that never came) I clipped this old, unknown variety of iris from my garden, to shoot instead. This one smells just like grape bubble gum! Can't trust weathermen! ;-)

I have 2 iris blooming in my front yard. I don't know where they came from, maybe they ran away from your storms that never came to land here where there is a storm that nobody bothered to mention. They are blowing in the very serious wind as we speak! #9362982

LOL at Jack - but since my arm break, I know exactly what he means...I could do Austin weather with pretty good accuracy as far as rain is concerned! :) Beautiful study, Courtenay. Love the swirly ruffles of these grand beauties - beautiful color and light...how can you miss with an iris that smells like grape bubblegum??!! :) #9363061
