Sharp Curve Ahead

Uploaded: February 08, 2011

Description

This is the old red mill in AL and right as you make this curve, you cross 2 one-lane bridges over water. It was a favorite swimming hole when I lived there (until I saw the snake), but even then, I still love to go there to see the falls and to take photos.

Carol I was there last Sunday and watched my camera tumble over onto the rocks below. I posted a couple of images of the water at high levels. I have never seen this shot from this angle but I love it! Great job! Congrats! #9301900

What a surprise for finalists to come out on Sunday! I never would have thought that!

Danny, I am so sorry to hear about your camera! I recently lost my wide angle lens, while on this trip actually. I left it on a picnic table in Scottsboro. Thank heavens someone found it and called about an ad I placed in the paper there. I have heard yall have been having a lot of rain again this year. Thanks so much for your comment!

Nancy and Bobby, thank you all so much! This has been my wallpaper on my PC until last night. I always enjoy visiting this old mill. #9302159

What a terrific Finalist, Carol!

Two things this image (and the commentary) taught me....

I'll never have to worry about seeing snake-shots in your Gallery! lollll

That spot is unlucky for cameras/lenses. Seriously, I'm feeling for both Danny and you. #9310444
