Description

Just west of Cody Wyoming you will find the Buffalo Bill Dam and Reservoir. It is an arch-gravity dam on the Shoshone River. At the time of its completion in 1910 it was the tallest dam in the world at 325 feet. Named after the historic old west figure William "Buffalo Bill" Cody the dam and the majority of the reservoir it created occupy land that was once owned by its namesake. This is a shot of the downstream face of the dam.

This is a spectacular shot, Greg. Wow!
I can just imagine spending a day in that observation booth...or whatever that little elevator-like structure is. Solitary confinement? #1347483
