New Meets Old

Ricketts Glen State Park, PA
Last Wednesday I took my new lens to meet an old friend, Adams Falls. This was one of its first shots, taken under a bridge on the way to Adams.

[Actually my favorite new thing is going to be playing catchup on what I missed in your galleries while I was gone. That will take awhile, a very pleasing while.]

I was just about ready to give you a call my friend. Glad to see you back and you brought with you another one of you stunning images. Excellent work with terrific detail and depth. We have plenty of snow and (cold) weather here. Trying to get courage to get out in it to hunt for photo ops. #1343220

Thanks everyone. Had to call you, Ron; didn't want to miss the op. You're right, Monnie. It will be ice for a long time, but it will be changing. Also, this spot is right under Rt. 118. You could park and be there in less than a minute. #9158238

So good to have you back my friend. Glad that you had a great time and that the new lens is doing a beautiful job for you. When I first saw this, I was thinking that it was in a cave, certainly has that look to it. A beautiful ice sculpture that mother nature has created here and you did some awesome camera work to capture it. Love the colors, the way you framed it, the textures and details bring out the beauty of the ice. You are so right, that it will keep changing and give you alot more beautiful pictures of it with each new look. Looking forward to some amazing pictures from your trip my friend. #9162296
