I bet them rocks do move at a slow pace, think it would be interesting if you could mark where they are now and see how far they have moved when you go back. The way you composed the picture is just so beautiful as you lead us up stream to the gorgeous mountains and sky ahead. Certainly would help keep your mind off how far you have walked with this sight always to look at. Beautiful colors, gorgeous scenery. A work of beauty my friend. #9122952Ellen Hodges December 24, 2010

I'd sure love to follow that meandering river as far as it could take me and then, beyond. Sigh. What beautiful colors and textures. Sigh...and what magnificent land with, OK, one more final sigh. :) Inspiring, Marty - both your work and you! Merry Christmas, my friend and all the best to you and Barb and your wonderful family in 2011. #9123696Carol L. Fowler December 24, 2010

Beautiful shot. Tripods are always a good idea even if the rocks do move slow; it's trying to catch the fast moving ones where I leave the tripod alone :-).... #9127879Marty Straub December 28, 2010
Thanks, everyone. It's interesting looking through somne old shots to see just how far or how little things move around from time to time. #9128919Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
