Rim Shot
Uploaded: December 09, 2010
Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
Many of the trees along the rim in Bryce Canyon seem to have uprooted themselves enough to stretch for a better look into the excitement. This is my favorite photo of the whole trip.

Sure can see why it's your favorite, Marty -- absolutely dazzling! A favorite for me, too! #1334079frank w. degenhardt December 09, 2010
As Monnie said, we can see why it your favorite and now has become one in my favorite photos folder. The beauty is so intense with that gorgeous earth tones against that multi-colored sky. Love the beautiful rock formations, but oh did that tree steal the show. I have never seen anything this unique and am in awe of its look. That is almost surreal. Stunning work of beauty my friend. #9088945Jeff Robinson December 09, 2010
Stunning - Can't say enough nice things about this one! Outstanding pov and HDR work Marty!! Jeff #9088959Ron McEwan December 09, 2010
Somewhere in my information I learned that the rim recedes about 6 inches every ten years, not sure but those numbers stick in my head. Anyway, I took a photo of the same tree, knowing someday, it will fall to the canyon floor. You have an astounding image Marty, you can never go wrong at Bryce. #9088974Val Feldman December 09, 2010
It seems as tho this little tree is standing on its very tip-toes to get the best possible view of the magnificence above and below, Marty ...what a beautiful sky, what a stunning view. I always marvel how a photographer can do this without shaking hands and with a clear mind to achieve the perfect settings. Glorious work by mother nature and perfect work by the photographer. Both equally amazing. A favorite for me also! #9089006Tarun Bose December 09, 2010

I love this, that tree is like on its tippy toes creeping over to peer over the edge either that or ready to run away from a lion. Beautiful vista and view. #9130922Christine Lobsinger January 13, 2011
