Description

Steamtown National Historic Site, PA
My last post showed a snow plow or some other strange attatchment, and this one has some sort of path-making devise. {Anyone able to help with the IDs?} After I got this one home and viewed it at 100% I was able to see the specter of a Jason-like engineer (closeup in Comments).

WOW! on both of these Marty, good eye to see the hidden image WTG. I am not sure what the name of this is, I think they still use them in the Canadian Rockies. #9069579

I'll tell you, I really like this shot, and the angle, with the train and tracks fading away, and the whatever that is, all rusted and strange on the front. And, yes, Jason, visiting from the past to make us think several times before climbing in there. #9069792

Hmmm, looks like a Roto-Rooter for making tunnels through mountains! Or maybe a torture device for the next James Bond movie. Definitely intriguing -- and a terrific capture! #9069980

I wish I could be of help my friend, not sure what they used it for. I do think Ron is on the right track though. One thing for sure, you did a fantastic job on both these photos. Love the composition and depth of the first one and the way you closed in on the second. Both have gorgeous colors, clear sharp details, and all of us curious now as to what they use that for. Beautiful work my friend. #9070213
