A moment of panic

Uploaded: November 20, 2010 00:04:41

Description

These two naughty goslings were playing around in the bushes and didn't realise their parents and five siblings had moved on. When they realised the rest of the family was not there they came out of the bushes in a real panic. They started chirping loudly and finally were reunited with the rest of the family.

It is a perfect catch, Ann...and finally answers the age-old question, "Why did the goslings cross the road?"

Ann, you've captured nature at her finest! Your composition is flawless, with excellent lighting, colors and exposure! The one leg up on the front gossling accentuates your story!

How is everything going in your part of the world, has it been back together yet? #9053796

Hi Joannie, things are slowly starting to happen to get the city back up and running again but a lot of businesses are going to be out of action for a long time. A lot of rebuilding to be done. On another note, we have had a serious mining disaster on the West Coast, 29 miners trapped after a gas explosion. Rescuers haven't been able to go in yet, gas levels too dangerous but it's not looking too good for them. #9053854

Ann, you have many wonderful captures in your gallery. I am particularly drawn to these young fluffy goslings. I LOVE the composition, colors, textures, subject matter, and story. The goslings little legs are also accentuated in this wonderful capture emphasizing their step forward into the unknown. #9609967

I love the story that goes with this photo. I am on the other side of the world and rescuing ducklings that are just as loud as mom and dad. #9793241
