The Veteran

Uploaded: November 02, 2010

Description

This is a photo of my Dad when he joined the Navy at the age of 17. The ship he was stationed on is in the background. He died suddenly 10 days after 911. He was not a war hero, but he was a hero.

Anyone who serves in uniform IS a hero Vickie. They risk their tomorrows so that we can have ours. A wonderful tribute to your father. #9011451

A stunning tribute Vickie, just stunning! Your father was very handsome and a brave hero! My dad joined the Navy when he was seventeen also. He served on the USS California after it was repaired in the bombing of Pearl Harbor! Thank you for sharing a special tribute to all Naval sailors! #9087323
