Taughannock High
Uploaded: October 18, 2010
Taughannock Falls State Park, NY
It rained for 32 hours straight and we arrived in Ithaca just in time for the clearing, but the overcast sky stayed with us all day until we reached the restaurant on our way home.

Marty- What a thrill it must have been to come across this gorgeous and exciting waterfall.Im with Maria, its as it you can hear the rush of water. Beautiful composition that lets us see part of the river it flows into and I love the depth and panoramic view of the beautiful area. The fall colors just add so much to the gorgeous sight. Stunning work my friend.Marty Straub October 19, 2010
Thank you all so much. You're right, the overcast sky really helped when exposing for the rushing water. The wind, however, was NOT on our side, often requiring a higher ISO setting to keep the dof provided by the smaller aperture. My buddy Dave got a nice shot of the sunny restaurant. #8983105Marcel J. Fernandez October 19, 2010
A WOW shot all the way. Thanks, Marty for sharing this beautiful place with me. #8983441Val Feldman October 19, 2010
Oh, this I would have loved to see! I haven't seen a good-sized waterfall yet and I feel Father Time nipping away at my heels (for an old guy, he can shuffle along pretty fast!) :) :) Wonderful, wonderful, Marty - gorgeous capture of a beautifully veiled and wonderfully framed waterfall - great work on bringing out all that superb texture on the rocky gorge walls. #8983553Dianna Murphy November 04, 2010
