I'm always taken by simplicity in photos. Despite the overall beauty of what one may see through the viewfinder, it really is only the simplicity of the standalone image that is the most arresting. I like this image a lot. #2345

Thank you! Simplicity was a difficult lesson to learn. I too admire the quality. It would have been very easy to add a few people, some seagulls or leave the garbage on the deck. But, I have begun to believe in "set-up". I figure out what I want people to see and make sure nothing in the image distracts the viewer. (I have 35 other versions that aren't very good)
