What a beautiful pair of owls, Carol and I love your title! :) Isn't it strange to see eyes that look like giant pupils? I guess this is why they can see in the dark so well!?

Thank you Laura! I enjoyed my trip to Homosassa and loved seeing all the wildlife. The only thing was that it was hot! Here is a link so you can visit too! http://floridastateparks.org/homosassasprings/default.cfm
I thought it was strange how their eyes are dark, but the different kind of owl (near the flower) has yellow eyes. I would almost wonder if they had vision problems and that is why they are in captivity, but surely both wouldn't have. All the animals at Homosassa are disabled in some way and that is why they are there, and they are all native to Florida except for Lu, the hippo. This site should tell you about Lu:
