daylight and fill flash 1.5 stop less

Uploaded: July 31, 2005

Description

I find 1.5 stops down and bounced of a wall fill flash is about right. Remember your shutter must be set at the sync speed for your camera or slower. I think I shot these pictures at F5.6 at 15th sec (on tripod and very still model). Flash was set using a flash meter and altering the power out put of the flash head untill I got a reading of F2.8. I had to put diffussion material over the flash head to lower down the power more than the minimum setting. The flash head was pointed up at the ceiling and wall that was to the right of my model. Be careful if the walls are painted any colour other than white or clean grey, you are going to get a colour cast on your shots.
