A deer, yup, it sure is...But could be a happy Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer in there, too! Look at that big ol' grin! A super catch and find, Marty, as well as, a very pretty leafy little sun dappled glade to ponder a tree's growing mysteries over! #8862862

I did not cheat Marty, I looked first. How amazing this is. Great shooting.

Maybe someday we can meet up out there in Utah Marty. I looked for half a day north of Moab and Arches for dinosaurs tracks and finally found them after talking to a guy that was operating a big catipillar in the land fill. #8862874

Oh, my, my powers of perception have gone south. I didn't see it and cheated. #8863085

Yeah, this is an easy one. I've been going to this same spot for years to try for a better photo of this guy. Once at Christmas I filled in the nose with red, but... This time the natural light was better than ever, yet I added a bit of fill flash to the deer part of the tree, and even then I painted a stripe of increased exposure (+.50) down the deer part with PS Bridge. I was particularly thrilled by the white dripping (of a bird or sap) along the side of the deer's face. #8863093
