Beauty Leaf

Uploaded: August 03, 2010

Description

I couldn't believe my eyes when I found a whole tree in our development with partially decomposed leaves in the most wonderful patterns. I picked one to photograph quickly since we were going away at the time. Placed it on a black background, took it outside on my deck and photographed it in open shade.

This is indeed beautiful, Fran, and a most wondrous find. What great definition between the still green and the turning parts of the leaf. Well seen and captured. #1294539

Agreed, beautiful! #8804625

Thank you so much. It's good to know that others see the wonder, too. When I get back to this location, I hope there will still be other leaves to choose from. They were almost all differently shaped, but beautiful in the same color coordinated way. Would make a nice triptych or somesuch. : ) #8804980

Just saw this in Editor's Picks -- congratulations, Fran. And I think a triptych of different patterns and perhaps colors is a great idea. #8814559

Thanks, Nikki. Good to know I'm thinking straight these days. : ) #8814795
