Fractalius Flower

Uploaded: August 03, 2010

Description

A friend of mine bought me a plug-in and told me I'd love it. Now, I usually don't even move twigs from what I find to photopgraph so I figured he really didn't know me at all. Well, I DID have some fun with it, and posted a couple galleries ~mostly of flowers. I chose this one because of the selected CENTER.
Original in comments.

f/16, 1/2, 24-105mm at 105mm, ISO 100, tripod, + playing with the Fractalius plug-in (If anyone would ever like the exact settings for this look, let me know. Putting the mumbers here would be gibberish.)

Exif: F Number: 16, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/2 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 105.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II

I'm totally with you on the leaving things as you saw them, but it's also fun to play with filters every once in a while. I don't have this one, but I love the effects. Great job here! #8803686

Marty- You have used the filter to show that you can take a beautiful picture and make it even more so with some little touches. I just love the way the colors glow and radiate with the touchup. It gives it a more dazzling look. I also like that you used the frac in moderation. Using filters I am learning, has to be controled. Love the full frame of these beauties, such an artful presentation that would brighten and cheer up any wall. Fantastic my friend.
Have a great day and take care. #8804351

Perfect for MT. I too really to like the Frac filter and have done some really interesting and fun images with it. However, haven't done much since I switched to the Mac as the Frac filter only works in Windows. #8804454

I agree...many cool things to experiment with in photography and using filters to enhance a mood or get a different look is always a good thing, IMO. I'm definitely not a puritan when it comes to editing! :) Great use of this filter, Marty - dazzling effect and colors! #8808036
