Three Amigos
Uploaded: July 13, 2010
You're right, Denny. Yesterday's post requires a shot of the three amigos. Here they are seen with a head of one or two of the muffin men. You can see upon close inspectino that they cannont be mistaken for wise men. They're all wearing wide chaps and the third one is sporting a LARGE cowboy hat over his head. Naming rocks is an ancient excerise of the imagination, though not nearly as old as the rocks themselves.

Wow! Great description and awesome capture of these 3 monuments Marty :-) #8757517Monnie Ryan July 13, 2010
Great job capturing the flavor of this trio, Marty! They don't look all that wise, but on the other hand, they've been there a long time and will be there long after I'm not here, so maybe I shouldn't be too quick to judge! ;-) #8757699Val Feldman July 13, 2010
Some low-riding chaps, for sure! :) Wow, you can distinctly see #1's facial features and love #2's lopsided, sideways grin - must've been the result of the joke he told to #3 who seems to be lost under what looks like a huge sombrero and not much amused. Love these sentinels of the desert, Marty and your capture and observations of them - long may they reign! #8757744Tammy M. Anderson July 13, 2010
LOL @ Valarie's description. Fabulous details, textures and story, Marty. #8759110Denny E. Barnes July 13, 2010
OK, I give, The Three Amigos it is..LOL..But I do have a shot from a completely different perspective that gives them a completely different look. Beautiful image, Marty and beautifully captured!! #8759784Mitch Spence July 13, 2010
That red rock simply glows here, Marty. So very nice against the sky. Yep, I think those guys will certainly outlast us all. #8759886Kitty R. Rodehorst-Hanna July 13, 2010
