Description

This formation is known as Sheep Rock, but my wife thought it looked more like a sacrificial lamb because it seems to be more on an altar than on all fours. [Close up enclosed]

Beautiful contrasting colors and landscape capture, Marty. Just returned from Yosemite and Sequoia yesterday. Had a great time and perfect weather. The hike to Vernal and Nevada Falls was spectacular and wet. LOL. We did alot of hiking. Had to come home to rest. Have over 2000 images to go through. #1279640

I think one of the (many) things so appealing about this beautiful part of the country is it's wide open spaces, punctuated by the huge (almost startling) rock formations springing upwards, magnificently aged and shaped by eons of time and the environment...it's just mind-boggling and so incredibly wondrous - just like this capture, Marty. #8700989

You must have been in heaven all the time there- since you can already spot creatures in all sorts of places without having those hints, like named rocks! This rock shape is fascinating and the colors awesome! #8701581

Well it does looke rather stretched out there waiting for something not too pleasant. Amazing formation though with a sky as big as the world. #8705034
