About Donald R. Curry
My Wife Carolyn and I operate Wildlife Trail Photography from our home in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. We enjoy hiking in wilderness areas and photographing nature with our Grandson Hunter. Carolyn is somewhat a beginner to photography, but she continues to amaze me with great photographs. I have been a student of photography for 30+ years. My photography started while I was in college. I majored in biology and I needed a camera to do research work. My first camera was a Nikkormat with a 55mm Micro-Nikkor lens which I still have and use on occasion.
I have a passion for nature and the environment. Nature photography is just one of the ways I feed that passion. I also have been an environmental professional for over 30 years. My photography is not necessarily just about the photograph. It is also about enjoying the outdoors. Capturing nature at that point in time and place to share with others is just one of the wonderful results. I do not use any artificial light or stage any of my nature shots. I don't believe that the beauty in nature can be improved upon. I present each subject in it’s natural setting just as I found it.
The photographs herein are for your enjoyment. I am still a student of photography and I am not afraid to learn from someone else. I encourage your feedback.
