Congrats Gunther on your win! Strangely enough I get a very calm feeling from this busy city scene. The time of day you chose reminds me of the time of day where people are winding down from work, getting home with family. It seems peaceful. : )

Thanks Tess and Shelly- surprisingly enough this was my first time in any highrise in Chicago, even though I've lived here for over a year now. I was touring some friends from California and we went up to the observatory deck and then in the restaurant for cocktails. The evening was winding down and below the streets were full of activity, but 96 floors above time almost stood still and the view was breathtaking. The streets oozed away from the highrises like lava from a volcano, as the blue hour changed to twilight and cast a magic over the evening. I loved taking this picture and it reminds me of a happy time.
