This is my favorite of your July entries, Sue -- thought it was so cool I went out and got a suitable texture and did one myself :) I love the way the tear gives the viewer the sense of discovery. Beautiful scene you used it on, too. I also like your Atlanta aquarium shots, Dragonfly on a Lotus (my runner-up), and Shared Circuit and Lonely -- love the design elements in this kind of shot. Very John C and that's a compliment. Good luck with your July entries.

Well, you already know I'm a big fan of this one, Sue, so I'll just tell you I think a large part of the genius here comes in having the vision (or courage) to place the texture as you did. Had you placed it so that the lighthouse was clearly revealed, you would have had an excellent but perhaps predictable result. Placed as you have so that only clear sky is revealed and coupled with the title, this is masterful. Congratulations on your first First Place Winner!
