What a marvelous silhouette, Aneesh, the simplicity of composition contrasted with the dramatic hues works beautifully here!

Ah... I saw that it was shot with medium format, but sometimes people can shoot with film and then modify it digitally later. Anyways, I'm even more impressed. Really incredible capture-- I could marvel at it for hours. Thanks for the info, Aneesh. Congrats once again. (:

Aneesh - First I'd like to say that this is an absolutely gorgeous picture!!!

I'm new to photography and wanted to ask a few questions: What kind of film speed did you use? And what about your aperture and speed? Did you use any filters or touch-ups after the pix was taken? Or is this a raw image.

I'm just wondering for my own information. There are so many variables in photography - I'm just trying to understand them all.

I would have sent this question to you directly but I didn't see any contact info for you.

Thx for your help - and again this is an absolutely beautiful picture!!

  Hi Long,
Thanks for having a look at the picture. I shot this in the rajasthan and used a velvia 50iso film. The apurure was on the maximum side and the shutter must be around 1/2 to 1 sec. The shadow areas of the image were further darkened.
