This image was taken the first year they allowed the public to photograph the statue of David, no flash allowed, of course. The sculpture was created by Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504, and is now on display in the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence.

Must have been a thrill to be able to photograph this statue in the first year it was allowed Teresa!!! To answer your question about my eye candy image it is light you see shinning in from the other end!!!

  Magnificent work of art well captured. You can tell David was not Jewish! I got a chance to also photograph him while visiting Florence.
